Pros

You are just out of college, you get to learn new technologies. Most of the people use this as an opportunity to learn new stuff before moving on to a bigger company since this company will not match compensation, benefits, and are extremely rigid. If you are senior don't even think of joining, Awesome recruiting folks that have tried to write all the good reviews here :) One of the ex-recruiters even admitted to the fact that the management did not care or wanted them to write fake reviews regularly.

Cons

I was here 2-3 years from startup to now acquired mode. Things have gotten worst, absolutely no promotions within even if you might have worked & proved yourself. Only 2 people make decisions in R&D. They do not want to make any investment in your career ( ask them about how many people have gone to training or attended conferences etc, they tell you to attend it on your own time) Petty office politics makes the worst. All the good people in the company have left. Their attrition rate at this point is more than their growth rate. Most of the middle or senior management are sticking to their jobs since they do not want to loose their stocks/options so the quality is drastically going down. Surprisingly, office in India is treated as people who can work on bugs and small features, extremely sad and disappointing to see this kind of attitude towards an offshore development center. My peers who were not US citizens reported that they were required to pay for legal attorneys fees ($2,000 - $5,000) if they decide to apply for your work visa. They also use this as a leverage to get more work done. Product Managers and Sales try to crunch in features just because of 1 deal. Absolutely no vision in other products other than their MDM one. It's a big ballon of crap and one day it is going to burst.

Pros

- Wonderful place to learn about being verbose and increase verbiage without any tangible facts. - Fantastic place to master the art of circumlocution and navigate around real customer problems without ever solving them. - Everybody is a talker, very little doers - Giving a star because i can't submit this review without it.

Cons

- Worst experience of my 17 year career in technology! - Highly toxic culture in the Customer Success organization especially the partner group. - Treat you like slave labor right from Day1. - Management is non-technical and does not respect highly technical backgrounds because of the lack of knowledge. - High strung millennials running the show with plenty of attitude. - Immediate management is always looking for a scapegoat and covering their backside all the time. - Management will exclude you on key meetings with customers and blame it on you. - Product flaws and shortcomings will be dumped on TAMs to manage. - Preaching and practice are miles apart when it comes to collaboration with technical support as well as product management and engineering. - Will put you down as a person without experience - Drain away your confidence on purpose. - Absolutely no empathy and manage by imbibing fear! - My colleague and I had absolutely the same experience. She stuck around for more than a year and had to take a break for mental health.

Pros

good products. good perks. good company to start your career

Cons

Poor management. they made 200 people redundant in Cork and London to make a strategic move to Barcelona, salaries are obviously lower there. most of the people were not able to move and others were not considered for jobs in Spain, just few of us did. I lost trust in Vmware, it hasn't been a great place to work the last 6 months. People do not feel valued, communication is unclear and atmosphere is weird since.
