So many great people work at Unity. The culture there between employees is great. It's a cool company to work for, they are always doing interesting things.

Cons

The executive leadership. The CEO. How they handle layoffs and reorgs. The direction of the company is confusing and all over the place.

Pros

Compensation is great for the Montreal area. You can seriously coast.

Cons

Everything became terrible in the last 2 years. Middle management is just bloat. The more you try to improve things, the more problems you'll have from others. Everybody is spending all their time justifying their job and the need for their direct reports. Every group townhall boils down to "Look how great our team is, please make sure you don't cut our group, while our stocks vest"

Generally, colleagues are nice and enthusiastic. I'm happy to work with them.

Cons

1. Too frequent org changes that could impact your career 2. Reckless Management - waste a lot of money on unnecessary parts and layoff about 4% of employees. 3. CEO risk. I don't trust the decisions he made and am disappointed in his behaviors, such as the scandal with employees, the current layoff, and his careless words.
