Pros

Not a lot of oversight of quality of work, so if you are looking for a high paying job with very little work to do this is a great place

Cons

No job security, no vision, treats staff like the enemy. Committing illegal acts is a regular occurance for Unity lawyers and HR staff. As a result HR is completely evicerated by having to do all their dirty work. Don't get pregnant at Unity, you will be laid off. Bullying is tolerated and there has been extremely costly claims against the company due to this. Don't sell your company to Unity, go to Epic or Adobe or whoever else, or at least accept that Unity will run whatever you did in to the ground in the next 3 years, so be prepared to get the hell out.

IronSource Takeover

Pros

There are some great people, that's it.

Cons

Tel Aviv runs the entire Grow organization. Let's make this point clear, IronSource was acquired in name only. It is scary how they took over and because they are the main revenue and profit driver for the company the power belongs to them. The IronSource culture is very politically charged. If you're not Israeli your career isn't going anywhere.

Pros

There are some really good people at Unity who are really passionate and strive to do the right thing. The core product, the Unity Engine, has an enviable place in the gaming world (for now). There is a lot of goodwill that goes along with it.

Cons

The company continues to be at war with itself. Is it a gaming company? Is it a mobile company? Is it a US company? Is it an enterprise company? The management has no idea. They talk a big game, but the reality is little transparency, constant reorgs and blindingly foolish decisions. So many people are out of touch with the core game developers. They make plans and give presentations to think they are making the right decisions, but it's all for show.
