Pros

You work for a globally recognised company.

Cons

- Lacks a sociable atmosphere - teams are extremely siloed and you are not encouraged to talk to or collaborate with other team members (one of my team members even teased me for talking to someone outside of our team). As a result, huge opportunities to learn are being missed because people are simply not aware of what other people are doing. - Little in the means of training or talks - before starting at Unilever I assumed there would be great opportunities to learn and structured training offered. With all of the contacts and brands the Unilever has, they could (should) easily be able to do a monthly, insightful talk and encourage structured training rather than simply 'learn yourself' attitude. - Hot desking - means you don't have a regular desk. My current team is a team of 15, there are 9 seats available in our 'allocated area'. If you don't arrive before 8:45am, you have to spend about 30 minutes walking around the various floors, trying to find a desk that is free (many are 'saved' by other teams) and has fully working equipment - pretty much all of the chairs are broken, screens/mouse/keyboard issues etc. - Tiny gym that was previously the CEO's that he has now 'generously' opened up to his employees. So small that it hardly caters for the 6 floors of employees and actually done to ensure that HR can cut the gym subsidy benefit that was previously offered.

Hi. Thank you very much for leaving a review - we appreciate all feedback, both positive and negative. We'll ensure your comments about team interaction and cross working is passed on, as well as your points on training, hot desking and social events. We'd also recommend setting up a time to talk with your HR Business Partner who would be keen to help with these points. We hope 2016 is successful for you and wish you all the best.

Pros

Unilever is a company that I feel proud to work for, with strong values at its core. There are plenty of international opportunities, and long term career options. The people here are generally great to work with.

Cons

You can get paid more elsewhere. Unilever occasionally loses amazing talent due to HR failings.

Pros

Good salary & benefits, hard to think of anything else to add here to make twenty word minimum!

Cons

Slow, process and politics heavy. Difficult to impact real change. Underwhelming co-workers. So many meetings & powerpoint.
