Pros

Great place for college students or anyone who just wants part time hours, always provided flexibility in scheduling. I wasn't a student when I worked there, but I was always given time off I requested. I was promoted from an associate, so career growth is possible, but I never saw this happen again, so I'm not sure it's common.

Cons

Full time positions are few and management only (unless you're a stylist), if you are not a manager your hours are always on the line. Communication can be weak, but that really depends on the team. Company can be very wishy-washy on policies.

Pros

Helping people find products they genuinely love, the customer-associate relationships, receiving "gratis," working with great people, medium sized retail operation, you don't feel lost in the crowd but you're definitely one of many...decent pay

Cons

unfair treatment (I was promoted, given a raise, and still made the same as just a regular sales associate, yipee!!), corporate management is run by people from hell I am convinced. They are some of the most awful people I have ever experienced. Not to mention they can't hire a competent manager to save their butts. It's all about "titles," and restricting power, and making people low on the totem pole. not a team oriented environment, people are too worried about how much they're making and what their "title" is to do any productive work, egos, diva personalities, stupid people who have no business working in retail, let alone management, really high turnover rate, but what do you expect when you treat your employees like dog crap?

Pros

I enjoyed working with my coworkers. The pay and bonuses were good too.

Cons

Occasionally had to work long hours(11-12 hour shifts) due to limited management on duty. That got tiring and frustrating at times. Limited room for growth within the stores.
