You get searched like a thief everyday when leaving..its embarrassing! Way too many "specials" in the salon..so earning commission is a JOKE!! Giving 50% off services every 2 wks doesn't build faithful clients...it builds CHEAP clients! It absolutely makes NO sense for a office in Chicago, to control the temperature at the stores in CT!! Why? Foolery!

Deploy "bully tactics" (with a smile) to subjagate, demoralize and control employee's..Postiitve recognition is nil to non-existant but negative feedback is abundant. Expected to fulfill 4-5 roles (receptionist, shampoo tech, retail floor sales associate, shampoo tech and janitor) simultaneouly for price of one at maximum production...Low calibar clients who want it all cheap to free and will complain knowing they'll get a full refund sight unseen...Negating your 99% client satisfaction...Insufficient training done intentionally to set you up to fail to validate future unwarranted reason(s) to "write you up" or hang probationary period over your head (intimidation tactic)...Management never takes responsibility everything's your fault.

Pros

Flexible schedule, employee discount. It is fun to learn about the new skin care products as well as new make up being released to the market. I am able to educate guests about make up as well as make recomendations to them as to what is make up or skin care product will best suit their needs.

Cons

Communications seem to be lacking especialy if you are not there everyday. The management has no say so about the products they need for the store. You often have make colors that you are out of for weeks on end. It is frustrating and embarrassing to help a guest select a particular make up and we do not have it. Often it is not delivered with the next delivery and we cannot honestly tell the guest when it will be in.
