Pros

Lots of overtime available for Rural Letter Carrier Associates. With the overtime, you'll earn quite a bit. It's fun to do a different route every day, lots of variety to the job. If you want you can learn almost every job available. You get to be outside, or driving around by yourself most of the time.

Cons

The actual job of Rural Letter Carrier can get boring, because you do the same route every day. The system of seniority works to delay promotion until someone gets fired or dies. Be prepared to wait what seems like forever-years?-for a regular route if that is what you want.
