Pros

Pay is pretty good and benefits are good once you become a regular.

Cons

No guarantee of when you might become regular and no benefits or paid days off until then and it could take years. Management is abusive and expects new CCA's to deliver at the same pace as a regular without taking into consideration you don't know the route and the amount of mail or packages varies. Summer is brutal in the trucks with no air. USPS does not provide water or ice.

Pros

You get to work from 7am-6pm depends how fast you are. No management at all, you manage yourself. It is your duty to finish all the mail and are accountable for every piece of mail.

Cons

It is a tough job but with a right mind set you will get it quickly. Work 7 days and as an RCA your schedule is not fixed, you never know when is your off day, schedule is updated weekly. Sometimes you are schedule 7 days/week.

Pros

OK pay, easy dress code, not stuck in office all day.

Cons

Lousy equipment, must provide vehicle to use for work before actual start at our location but there is no compensation or vehicle allowance unless you get a newer vehicle, less than 5 yrs old, then you only get $1000. Not enough paid training, had to come in on my own time to get where I wasn't being called in the office for being out on the route too late. Compensation for mileage isn't too bad but when you drive what you can afford i.e.1994 with 100K+ miles, fuel economy isn't the best and there is constant maintenance. Before I got my first paycheck I was $3000 in debt for a car, and have already had to put more money in it to keep it running. Pay needs to be better, most all of my pay goes to paying off my car with paying for insurance, gas and maintenance. All expenses accrued for the job.
