Pros

Great Pay and Benefits when you consider that I work and live in a small town. about 600 people. However staffing is a very big problem. Cannot always take off work when you want as here is no one available to replace you.

Cons

Micromanagement at its finest. many many people just looking at numbers for their own benefit rather than the service that we should be providing

Pros

Excellent wage/benefit package Ability to transfer to other locations Many people who really care about doing a good job A few better-than-average managers

Cons

For the most part, upper management is clueless about how to motivate people. Line supervisors would rather ignore a problem than take the trouble to address it. Due to the strength of the union, employees who would be fired in the public sector manage to keep their jobs, because it is almost impossible to fire even the most incompetent employee.
