No life. Alot of mandatory overtime. Schedule can change with less than 24 hours notice, several times throughout the year. Management needs a complete overhaul. Very unprofessional.
long hours
does not matter how much mail is processed, more is always required
PSE's are treated like second class citizens
Supervisors and management lack the skills of communication, as well as common courtesy to their employees. For a place that promotes " NO ROBOT", they sure like to treat their employees as such !
Good salary, benefits, pension requires only a high school diploma and a valid drivers license. Feels good providing an essential service. Lots of activity and interaction with the public.
Cons
Mind-boggling divide between management and employees. Two-tier employee classification under current contract; lower tier gets much less pay and far fewer benefits. Hours and work conditions (outside, in all weather) can be brutal.
