Pros

Working alone once probation is passed Lots of hours available if at right location

Cons

Orientation doesn't represent true job expectations Location determines everything Because of high fail rate, managers are looking for reasons to fire you They don't take real lunch breaks

Pros

During the holiday season you can get a whole lot off overtime. Depending on which place your at your overtime may be mandatory.

Cons

Although when you apply online it may not seem like it all positions are seasonal and depend on the mail volume. Though after they let you go they will call you back in for a more permanent role but you have to wait for that.

Pros

Good pay, Opportunity to learn interesting facts about your mail and how it is processed and delivered

Cons

Everything. If you are not a regular you pretty much get the short end of the stick. You will be overworked with the most ridiculous schedule. Management in 3 post offices I have worked are caddy and will talk about you or any personal situations you may have disclosed, to other employees. Best to work here and stsy to self.
