Pros

Most roles at mid-management level are very interesting, with significant space for contributing to some changes based on the mandate of UNICEF and making a difference.

Cons

The senior management of the organization is at times very frustrating, with some decisions and change processes which are far from being based on the views and considerations of staff. Serious disconnect between senior leadership and the large part of the organization which is not really listened to.

Pros

The pros of this position are of great importance because, as Face-to-Face fundraiser, we need to be communicative, quick-witted, and ready to answer troublesome questions. This job has given me valuable insight into the importance of presentation skills, body language, and facial expressions. Another advantage is this position has allowed me to communicate with variety of people and recognize that people have unique personalities. However, if they want to help, they will. Therefore, I began to read people before engaging with them. Additionally, I learned valuable lesson- sometimes you have to accept ''No" as an answer, but no at all costs. Another plus is the sense of purpose. Every campaign for me was goal setting because of the focus of the organization to help children in need- that's a meaningful purpose.

Cons

The cons of this job include having to stand on your feet all day and occasionally encountering discriminatory people who hold the belief that women should be treated without respect.
