Pros

Flexibility with schedule, hybrid work, working with students, and being part of exciting, innovative projects. Grandfathered into pension plan, good benefits and sick/vacation accrual for senior employees. Beautiful campus, strong reputation and alumni network.

Cons

mediocre pay, arbitrary "equity" salary increases, and difficult to advance your career unless you're in a technical title. sooooo much red tape and complex policy, everything is an exception to the rule and is time consuming and frustrating to resolve given the behemoth bureaucracy. Traffic and parking fees are ridiculous, borderline intolerable, but no choice...
