Pros

Tutor.com allows employees to log in anytime and accept or reject available sessions without any time commitment. This is nice for those that like to fill in empty parts of the day with essays.

Cons

Pay is abysmal. 90% of employees are underpaid when you consider the dynamic role they fill.

Pros

You can work from home, and you don't usually get more than 5 hr of work a week so if you're looking for a very small part time job then it's for you.

Cons

I didn't get paid very much. You can only sign up for 5 hours a week, 6 if you are with them for several months. I was with them for abut 7. You can add on hours after the initial sign up but getting more than 7 is almost impossible. You can't really set your schedule. They're also very picky about background noise, how you talk to students, etc. I had one student calling me dumb and an idiot and some other unsavory words and when I said "that's rude" I got a warning for disrespecting the student. Thought it would be nice additional income while I stayed home with my new born baby but left because it wasn't worth the hassle. I was lucky to make a little over $130 a month.
