Convenient but Mediocre Pay

Pros

Convenience to tutor when/where you want

Cons

Pay is a lot less than what you would get tutoring on your own, customer service team is sub par and it is hard to resolve issues - I've had payment disagreements and I ended up not hearing anything from the support team which left them unresolved. They rarely answer their phones.

Pros

the hours are somewhat flexible

Cons

-they require all tutors to do voice sessions -low pay (especially for Seattle) -rigid guidelines -caps on hours so they can avoid claiming employees and instead classify them as contractors -no benefits -it's a race to collect hours for yourself when the weekly schedule comes out -dealing with some of the students is stressful
