Pros

Flexibility: the main pro of working with tutor.com is the ability to schedule your own hours and work whenever you’re available

Cons

Hours & Pay: tutors do not get paid to wait while floating and paid hours are few in number

Pros

The students are generally good to work with, and if you’re inclined toward education, the really great ones will help you feel fulfilled in what you’re doing.

Cons

There are a lot of issues with the Async format and the expectations placed on tutors with time limits (extremely specific and detailed answers on the feedback sheet, vague advice left on documents, and so on) are really tough to adhere to. The pay is also extremely lacking, especially if you’re floating and therefore not getting paid at all when you don’t have students despite putting time in.
