Pros

Outstanding support from a professional and knowledgeable staff, flexible schedule, work-from-home. I've been with Tutor.com for just over 5 years and watched the company adapt and grow along the way. Continuous improvement is the defining characteristic of Tutor.com. They are always making positive changes based upon customer and tutor feedback. They provide a large volume of helpful resources to tutors and staff, and actively promote from within. I would recommend Tutor.com to anyone interested in a flexible and rewarding work-from-home opportunity.

Cons

Tutoring in any environment can be challenging and online tutoring is no exception. This job may not be a fit for everyone. It takes a lot of skill, patience and dedication to provide the quality of service required by the company.

Pros

Very flexible in terms of scheduling hours Mostly free reign on how and when you tutor

Cons

Hard to find hours (I struggled to get more than 10 hours a week). This improves as you have more experience, but even late in the game it's not that great. Easy to get bored The software sometimes freezes

Pros

Flexible scheduling and communication between upper-level management and your mentor. The work is very rewarding, and most of the students are very nice. This is one of the only tutoring jobs where you schedule yourself, work online, and the software is fairly easy to learn. Also, you do not need a college degree to work here. This makes this an ideal part-time job for college students. It also helps solidify basic skills learned in the subject areas which you tutor.

Cons

Not paid very much comparatively; Some students are a pain. There is not much incentive to doing a great job.
