Ok for a side job---flexible but low paying

Pros

Good for someone struggling through grad school to work on the side.

Cons

They take home 40.00 an hour. You take home 9 starting out, and after being promoted to tutor I, about 10.50-12, depending on subject. Working more than 20 hrs/wk with this pay burns you out quickly.

Pros

Flexible hours/work when you want or can; paid to wait for students. Despite limited contact with the company, issues still addressed in a timely manner, etc!

Cons

The chat platform makes the actual act of tutoring a lot more challenging to accomplish. Working remotely as an online tutor, there is also no sense of connection to the company; no in-person or even phone interviews, let alone any vocal interactions with anyone after hire - just kind of a weird, isolating vibe.

Pros

Flexible hours, and good work-life balance. We managed company.

Cons

The work is seasonal, and occasionally you run into rude students.
