Pros

The support of leadership is incredible, you become very good friends with everyone in your job trailer, you learn an incredible amount of information regarding Construction engineering, as a lvl 1 field engineer they don’t let you work more than 40 hrs/week, incredible learning resources available to you. Compared to other jobs my friends got out of college, this one is by far the best in terms of work life balance as well as work environment.

Cons

Slightly below average pay for the industry, but at 40hrs/week max as a lvl 1 it’s worth it. Can give you less than 1 week notice when your assignment changes, which could anywhere within a 2hr drive of your current residence, which makes renting a places in the city v. Out of the city a tough choice.

Pros

Great benefits, great pay, and provides a great work life balance depending on the office you are in.

Cons

Very poor leadership. Upper management is conflict-adverse and they don't confront underperforming employees, resulting in the great employees leaving. Diversity rarely get promoted and are eventually promoted without being paid much more. There are a high rate of diversity venturing out to new companies or starting their own business because of this. Project Engineers are not recognized from upper management for their hard work in completing projects.

Pros

Promotion opportunities are highly possible if you are a driven, hard worker who seeks knowledge and challenging roles as a strong team player (as opposed to being just a participant). Benefit package is excellent. Bonuses are awarded if you work hard, beyond your scope of work. Milestone years of service generously rewarded. It's competitive, so if you want to win be both a team player and leader.

Cons

Changes in management can be sudden and extreme. Culture often invasive; personal life is a competition. Long hours at times. Almost impossible to keep up when the workload increases. When you figure how to juggle, more balls are tossed your way. Having nothing to do is worse.
