Pros

Managers dedicated to team building and continuous improvement. Opportunity to work in various departments of construction industry (estimating, cost, field, etc.). Opportunity to work on unique or high-profile projects. Overhead cost to use fantastic software and cutting-edge construction tools, like Procore, BIM360, bluebeam, etc.

Cons

Most employee seem overloaded, and work extends beyond the 10 hour workday to home life. Main office in Reston is awful.

Pros

Depends on your business unit, the Chicago one unfortunately has a poor culture.

Cons

Lack of transparency, lack of opportunity despite ambition, poor work life balance, upper management is oblivious to their lack of influence in the industry and poor reputation which is sad

Pros

Working for Turner Construction has been positive and motivating experience . Since my time working for Turner, I've learned that this is a company that focuses on my career growth within the organization. Turner has a process where management takes the time to learn my goals, and create a map for my success. This makes feel confident in the work that I do for them. The other aspects I enjoy, is that Turner is a company that likes to have their employees involved, by creating committees to join, and also plan social events to attend. I appreciate the time Turner takes to make sure their staff has a chance to bond and network outside of the office. I'm personally apart of two of committees. One is The Women in Construction Group, and the other is the Future Leaders Group. Both of these committees have provided me with the necessary tools to help me grow with my personal development. I am proud to work for a Construction Company that I believe is the leader in providing a great work experience and also being a company that strives on growing and improving as a whole.

Cons

I personally don't have any cons working for Turner, but if there were to be any issues, I will have a chance to express myself within their annual review they provide to express my work experience. From there I believe they take the time to improve any problem that has been presented to them.
