Tulsa Public Schools has a lot of positive things that are happening but change is slow. There is a new focus on data driven student outcomes that is a shift in the right direction. There are also sites that are focused on education the whole student and are able to connect families with services that will help everyone.

Cons

There is a lot of disorganization within the administration. Budget cuts are going to have a major impact on TPS in the future. Some of the schools are challenging to work at but rewarding.

Great Hours. Health Benefits and vacation time

Cons

Overloaded classrooms, due to budget cuts. Non salary job, which results in having to find summer employment. The bureaucracy of public education is very frustrating when you care about sufficiently reaching each child, who has their own way of learning.
