This was a terrific position created by Tulsa Public Schools. The position was to provide job-embedded professional development. It was great to be able to deliver relevant PD and mentor teachers.

Cons

The program was not presented to the principals correctly Many principals tried to use the Staff Development Teacher as a vice principal or a substitute.

- No autonomy in the classroom - School culture greatly depends on the administrator - Pay is TERRIBLE. - Definitely not just a job, work on average of 50-70+ hrs per week.
