Pros

Positive team, depending on school. Full benefits. Admin assistance with job questions. Seeing kids grow, even just a little bit.

Cons

SPED curriculum mostly unhelpful. Toxic environments, depending on school. Amount of data and paperwork cannot be completed during school day, so be prepared to receive a lot of negative feedback from admin if you have boundaries with your work schedule (I refused to stay longer than my daily schedule, and never took work home, so I was late a lot with deadlines. They tried to pressure me to work outside of my hours, which I would not be compensated with overtime, which is illegal. Ended up leaving due to this, but this is unfortunately common in education, especially in SPED).
