Cutbacks and hiring freezes • Difficult to achieve a work / life balance. The inability to replace people requires the work to be distributed to those who are left (particularly those considered high performers). Most salaried individuals are working 50-80 hour weeks. • In most areas, talented and highly competent individuals are rendered ineffective due to increased responsibilities. They are simply spread too thin. Lack of training Outdated / ineffective business operating systems – updates/changes are nearly impossible.
