Pros

a good place for retirement

Cons

They do not invest in their people (Only on the heavy weight Japanese, forget about developing any locals, it's a Japanese company) No guts to make changes, neither do they have any direction. Pure paperwork and system inputs. layers and layers, so forget about career progression, it is as simple as wait 3 years to be promoted according to HR Rules.....not on merit or performance. (It is about who has sat longer in the company) A lot of redundant drinking and Japanese entertainment. People change their faces very fast especially the DGMs in front of their Japanese emperors, disgusting. They even have Japanese expatriate putting cameras in the toilet and got Pay is horribly low, do not fall for their so called high variable bonuses, its variable in the first place. I pity the HR.

Pros

Great perks for employees. They have CNY goodie bag distributed, annual D&D, family day... Heard previously that the bonuses used to be great, but has since started to dwindle...

Cons

Typical Japanese culture that is full of drinking. If you're not a drinker, you will feel pressurized. During D&D, the performances are pretty harassing to the eyes, quite a shocker. The management style is very Japanese-oriented, and Japanese-domineering. HR turnover is pretty high too. Structure is very rigid, no room for flexibility (though they said they would like to listen for more ideas). Very paper-oriented (paper-wastages in this age and time), technology is pretty backwards. Most of the Japanese Management can't speak/write English properly. And they keep on sending staff from Japan to SG, adding cost to the company.

Pros

nothing, no organization, no orientation, no welcome, no training, no structure, no time to train a new employee on toyota's operating rythym and absolutely no support from HR.

Cons

Toyota Tsusho has nothing it has going for it. The management is bad. They speak Japanese to hide conversations from others who can't understand it. The division is lead by people and for the people who can kiss up. you might think that i can kiss up ... trust me .... the pay will in no way make up for it ....
