Pros

If you can survive all the corporate BS the experience will make you appreciate working any where else. Knowing you will get a better Job some where else.

Cons

As a manager you might get 60k but you will work over 60 hrs a week and get phone calls 24/7. The clients are your "Boss". The corporate structure is ever in their favor. Every claim will be paid back to the customer weather it's correct or not. Clients know this and exploit every store with false claims. The district manager will transfer you so many times that you never get to make any lasting relationships with your clients. Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone created the LEAN process that is used in many successful corporate structures today. Bridgestone / Tires plus has of this year eliminated formal training of managers and relies on a " good ole Boy Club " and only promotes from within. I worked 5 years for the company was transferred 10 times. I did not get 1 annual review or raise in the entire time I was with the company. This job will take you away from your family. There is no structured schedule. Employees are constantly quitting and finding better jobs.

Pros

Hours can be pretty flexible. If you are the store manager you can make pretty good money.

Cons

Everyone lower then the store manager is just another name. I worked below three very unethical managers at three different locations, and nothing they seemed to do, could get them fired. It was simply amazing, therefore, the room for advancement is non-existent. They didn't give the younger folks a chance, and kept keeping the "old dogs" around.

Pros

If you like turning wrenches and working on vehicles, this job is for you

Cons

Low pay, constantly having a manager try, key word, to talk down to you/intimidate you, there is a "good ole' boy" clique in the company, not getting proper training, being made to work more then 50 hours in a week and go 9 days plus without a day off, shop is always DIRTY and no one takes pride in keeping it clean. If you go against the grain of the guys you work with you will IMMEDIATELY become an outcast.
