Pros

Lot of benefits. discounted airline tickets. great life style. salary is good depending on which department you join and what grade. Growth can become stagnant.

Cons

moving up is very difficult. too much favoritism based on nationality. recruitment process is not fair. its all about who you know.

Pros

Some amazing people, Truly blessed there. A beautiful business model Ambition: and a hunger to be number one. The Chairman. Intertwined with the future of Dubai. Flight benefits -- travel the world (on standby) Some departments have great work-life balance and you can switch off your work cellphone at half past three

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy and red tape Insane planning/budgeting process Small changes take forever, but huge restructurings happen every couple of years leaving the population in shock. A lot of people that have moved here to retire and have stopped growing a decade ago. A lot of unqualified people that are insecure and threatened by the new guard. The flight benefits can only make up for the lower pay if you really travel ... If you are on a job with after hours on call support you will be bled dry... with 80000 employees and 30000 computers in over 400 offices, the stream of enquiries will drive you insane.

Pros

The possibility to see the best world sights; good package, medical, travel, shopping, partying etc. discounts and benefits; the international team; an exciting environment :)

Cons

You may be put in Emirates accommodation, which won't suit you, for example, by location (mine was in the desert, Nad Al Sheba, Dubai). You can't change the location except after a promotion or marriage. Some sexual harassment cases happen between crew members. No flexibility in schedule and rules, no personal life / free time.
