Pros

You get to travel the world and be based in Dubai. You also have access to standby tickets and one yearly confirmed annual leave ticket. All training needed for this position is provided by the company. Housing is provided.

Cons

Emirates will fire you at any given moment and you would need to relocate back to your home country if you are not able to secure a visa with another company. If they want you out they will change rules to get you out. The rest between flights is generally just enough to keep it legal but its very tough on the body as you are working through different time zones. Using your legal allocated sick days is frowned upon and you will be harassed and penalized even if you are still within your allowed days. This culture pushes crew to go to work sick or hide illness to avoid repercussions. Weight management is a big deal so be sure to maintain your weight close to that which you joined with. They also ask that upon pregnancy you come back to work the same weight you were when you declared your pregnancy to the company. Ageism is also a thing as contract renewal can be denied based on your age and not your qualifications/ capability.
