Pros

Company provides excellent training, amazing discounts and other benefits. Get the impression top management "walks the walk". Definite team atmosphere amongst associates.

Cons

Store managers were focused on negatives, especially with longer term employees. Seemed to hire ill-suited employees and then let them flail, hurting overall morale. GM not open to constructive feedback.

It's great working with many of the fun products. Mostly terrific customers and co-workers.

Cons

Oh boy, have things taken a turn. Apparently the Container Store is now a discounter. I always thought I was working for a world-class, top-tier seller of high quality products. Definitely not the case any more. Like Oprah says (to paraphrase...) "and YOU get a discount! And YOU get a discount!" Hey, discounts all around!

Clean store that are always maintained very well. Very positive staff and management. They have a great selection of products that are somewhat simple to promote.

Cons

Never met a employee (past or present) of the Container Store that makes the salary and wages that the company says it pays it's employees.
