      Love the Foundation Principles. Everyone, including managers, should live, breath and master them on a continual basis.

      Pros

      Foundation Principles, Corporate seems to understand store needs and has same goal, vision and principles as stores. Hiring and training is very thorough.

      Cons

      Very high expectations; management has too many administrative duties; out side talent brought in when inside talent is more than capable.

      Pros

      They are very flexible with our work schedules...although recently they have been asking for more from some employees. For part-time benefits, they are pretty good. I didnt like that there was limited time for me to enroll...but that may be true for other companies as well.

      Cons

      They are selling out to corporate profits. The company used to encourage people to sell stuff because they liked the stuff The Container Store sells, but its turning into a company that is there to only sell stuff because it makes a profit. They are taking the joy out of the company.

      Pros

      Pay is better (by $1 or $2 ) than "comparable" job titles at competitors, but the work required is three times as much Good benefits, but they cost you a good chunk of your paycheck. Excluding the management, the employees are incredible. The best part of The Container Store is its day to day employees. Fortune 100 list, but declining in recent years

      Cons

      Schedule is difficult, days off are never together unless you take a vacation day, which you only have 1 week of per year. Management attitude is challenging, and unable to hear criticism Cult-like corporate structure, is grating It is expected that you'll go above and beyond everyday, but without any real appreciation or recognition of your successes
