Pros

The Container Store has a lot of really great people working for them. Co-workers are really the heart of this company and make it enjoyable to go to work. The company is really good about training and offers a great discount and competitive pay as for as the retail industry goes

Cons

Difficult customers -- this store caters to wealthy people that have extremely high expectations and little manners when you don't have the exact product they are looking for. Management is extremely out of touch with the rest of store and have no idea how the store actually operates. Another con is little room for advancement. You have to be willing to give up your life to be a "full timer" or move into a management position.

Good salary, frequent breaks, variety of hours, frequent promotions, health care for full timers, a lot of time spent on safety

Cons

Discouragement of unions, difficult to become full time, heavy competition for shifts, insufficient training for customer interactions, difficult meeting times, very short shifts

Pros

Love the store, people I work with and the different jobs that I get to do. Great products and most of the customers are super nice.

Cons

No room for advancement, 10 full time positions out of 50 employees. Cuts for current prime time (part time) hours while hiring new people :-(
