Pros

The people that I work with are fantastic individuals and are the reason I stay. Somewhat flexible with schedules - or at least try to be.

Cons

Management is not approachable and is not employee first as the company states that they are. It really is about the bottom dollar at the end of the day. They will work you above and beyond what your role is and not compensate you for it. They will tell you what to hear so that you quiet down, but will never fix the issue at hand.

Employee first model is not just verbiage, it's in their DNA. They are excellent at hiring, smart, mature people driven by excellence with established great work ethics.

Cons

Retail hours are not always favorable, but unavoidable.

It's great working with many of the fun products. Mostly terrific customers and co-workers.

Cons

Oh boy, have things taken a turn. Apparently the Container Store is now a discounter. I always thought I was working for a world-class, top-tier seller of high quality products. Definitely not the case any more. Like Oprah says (to paraphrase...) "and YOU get a discount! And YOU get a discount!" Hey, discounts all around!
