Super stressful and a complete lack of communication. Customer solutions team used to be great and fun; not anymore.

Discounts, benefits and corporate office events are fun. They do take in mind health issues and have a great maternity leave program.

Cons

Culture is dying, morale is low, high stress, and not the best hours for family. There is no HR department either so good luck.

Pros

Fellow employees/travel to open new stores was fun, being around new employees. Training was rushed but ongoing. Good mix of physical and mental work.

Cons

Culture does not live within the stores as much as hq thinks it might. Salary freezes for 5 of my ten years employed. We used to hire from all aspects of business but now retail experience seems to be what is looked for, especially in management. Never enough people working to merchandise the store this then becomes a trashed "organization" store for multiple days.

Pros

People are great, Store Management is good (till it's pushed by "new Corporate") Pay is OK.

Cons

Hard to adjust schedule, never a weekend off, no 2 consecutive days off, Pay freeze, 401k freeze, Unnecessary overnight schedules before/during holidays. It feels like a prison camp, because you never get a break (weekend, 2 consecutive days off) to enjoy a getaway with friends/family.
