Pros

Sweet people who work there, fan base of customers who are usually happy, dedicated managers who really try hard

Cons

Too much cultish KoolAid foisted upon you about how great TCS is. Often very few hours available and everyone starts on the horrible early morning truck shifts. They make it seem like there are opportunities for growth, but l think that is a gross exaggeration. There really aren't any.

Pros

You will never work with more skilled or caring p/t employees.Company sets the bar for retail presentation and training opportunities. The leadership of the company walks their talk, but aren't sure how to get their store leadership to do the same.

Cons

Upper leadership doesn't seem to know what is happening in their stores. In poor performing stores GMs are allowed to blame losses on others rather than on their own leadership. Making f/t is tremendously hard.

Pros

Simply put, your co-workers in general will be real people. Not the higher ups but the people that are in the trenches with you doing the manual labor. Almost everybody I met while working in Manhattan Logistics were honest, down to earth and friendly barring one or two people I simply didn't get to meet. The floor team were cool with the stock team (my dept.) and were always willing to help. The discount was AMAZING (moved out of my house and fully contained my entire life with less than $1,000 including three bookshelves) and the hours are amazing for students and people with two jobs.

Cons

Logistics management is subpar at best. It's pretty much playing politics with anybody who Is so much as full-time. Full-time is considered supervisor, supervisor is manager and manager is dept. manager which makes no sense at all and makes simply advancement near impossible. One full-timer was part-time for FIVE YEARS before getting full-time and this particular employee was actually a great worker. Also, don't think you can bring up a problem with one of the supervisors. It's impossible. Unforgiving and completely oblivious of hard work, they will disregard your greatest achievements and exasperate your most forgettable error. Favoritism is the name of the game so if you're the type to stand around and joke with the supervisors and managers while everyone else works, get ready for the easiest paycheck of your life. Everyone else, on the other hand, get ready to get cuts, bumps, bruises and scars from putting in the work of two people. Definitely not an employee first culture. I've brought problems up with the manager concerning one supervisor in particular for the full year I worked there and never got closure on my concerns.
