We keep losing all the great ones. One by one they seem to walk out the door after they can't take anymore of phonyville, USA. The cons are all together outweighing the pros. Management that was breathtakingly condescending at times. Hypocrisy in the stated values of The Container Store ("we love and trust out employees, you guys are great") versus actuality. For example, I was used to years of working places where I have the keys to the businesses and am entrusted with lots of classified materials and thousands and thousands of dollars worth of equipment. As an employee of The Container Store It was degrading to not be able to have the doors unlocked for us to leave at night without being fully searched. Also we were encouraged to skip legally mandated breaks, out the fear that taking our breaks would be used against us when deciding who would be able to get better hours or make it to full time.
