      Pros

      The other staff are generally the ones that make it more of a exciting work environment. Depending on the team, you may have some flexibility in instigating changes, introducing innovations and the such but this is rare and hard to come by. Hard working but relaxed work environment.

      Cons

      Management heavy structure. Lack of effective communication between teams usually leads to delays. Lack of ownership taken when issues arise and deadlines slip, more finger pointing. Lack of a fast tracked career progression unless you are within the inner circle, otherwise it follows the general Thales defined process. Innovative ideas are hard to push through a risk adverse management, hard to instigate change, or if successful very difficult to implement without heavy pushback from management.

      Great people all around. Interesting work.

      Cons

      Politics of some smaller teams may take a while to overcome. Success of the company depends largely on Government policies and decisions, which can be slow.
