Friendly atmosphere but frequent layoffs affect stability

Generally a friendly place to work with flexible work arrangements.

Cons

Company is frequently reducing it's headcount to stay above water. Software engineering org is very senior heavy, there are almost no juniors. This means that seniors often don't get opportunities to lead projects which makes it very difficult to get promoted.

Work from home benefits overshadowed by declining toxic culture

Work from home, decent compensation, decent work life balance.

Cons

Culture and overall morale heading towards toxic levels, constant layoffs, declining quality of leadership and accountability, lack of mature SDLC process, pullback on benefits from previous years. Prior to the Livongo merger Teladoc was a wonderful and special place to work. Things began to decline quickly after the merger and never recovered. My rating and review reflects the current state not the past state.

Cons

‘Cost saving measures’ result in frequent restructuring, reduction of available benefits and stagnant pay increases. Micromanagement has increased, along with unrealistic performance expectations. Constant internal policy changes and poor communication across departments.
