      Grew Too Fast

      Pros

      Casual dress code. Great coworkers.

      Cons

      Definitely a good old boys network of managers and directors. Extreme micro management. The company grew very fast in a small amount of time and jumped into a public offering. This created additional pressure on upper management which was taken out on the employees. Do not expect any training or procedures. Very little support from management. Expect answers such as "figure it out." Communication between various departments is almost non existent.

      Pros

      It is great for an inside look to the future of telemedicine. That's it. Nothing else. There are limited pros to this company.

      Cons

      Management is lazy. They fake reports and manipulate numbers in order to appease the CEO. Management completely disregards concerns of their employees. Not to mention, they will throw you under the bus for just about anything and if you're not a favorite, you're out of luck. The work environment is similar to being in high school: cliques, bad mouthing of employees, and bullying.

      Rapidly growing industry that is changing the healthcare landscape and improving efficiency for all participants.

      Cons

      Teladoc's systems are mashed together on an outdated, unstable platform that is supported by ad hoc patches. Management is only focused on sales and has negligently underinvested in operations and technology. It's like being on an unmaintained truck barreling down the highway at 100 mph with the driver picking up every passenger he can convince to jump aboard. It is unclear if management has the capacity, ability or incentives to avoid inevitable disaster. Customers are finding this out and switching to more stable competitors.
