Pros

- chill environment - decent place to start your career if you have no other options

Cons

- Not People Services posting self reviews!! Please tell me you see through that. - Titles don’t make sense (what is an Associate Lead?) - lots of infighting among senior management - lots of work for not a lot of pay - revolving door work environment. It’s a red flag when the same job openings are accepting applications every 3 months but headcount stays at 50-70 - chances are you’re being underpaid if you go out on leave - toxicity

Hello, Thank you for your feedback! Its clear that you were unhappy with your experience at Tastemade and we wish you would have talked to our people operations team, one of our senior leaders or your manager about your experience, we have an open door policy and welcome feedback. We're not exactly sure when you were employed or the team that you worked on but we have had 150-200 employees since 2018, you may have worked here long before that. The average turnover in the media industry is 14% and our turnover is 5.4%. This puts us significantly below the the industry average. Our People team is focused on actionable outcomes. We work hard to understand and measure employee satisfaction and experience so we can continuously improve. Our current eNPS (employee net promoter score) score indicates overall satisfaction from our employees is ""very good"". To catch you up to speed on a few other bits, we are completing a banding and job leveling project to ensure employees are clear on their current standing and how they are performing. This activity will also provide clarity for all employees on what growth looks like in their role. Additionally, we are doing a revision of titles across our company to create more consistency across teams. We agree that this is a longtime coming and are excited for this! Last, we conduct market pay analysis frequently and opt into various surveys to ensure we are paying equitably, this includes the PledgeLA public survey. Thanks again for your feedback. Feel free to reach out to us directly should you have any additional feedback you would like to express. peopleops@tastemade.com

Hi there, thanks for your feedback! Its unclear when you were employed at Tastemade or the team you were on, but today we have various initiatives and programs that support the things you mentioned in your posting, A few examples of this are: In 2022, we pivoted to using an OKR methodology and have goals set across our business. We believe employees should have clarity and transparency in our business direction and trajectory of our businesses growth. Our current tenure is 33 months. The average turnover in the media industry is 14% and our turnover is 5.4%. This puts us significantly below the the industry average. Beyond that, we are undergoing a huge activity to ensure each employee at Tastemade (both individual contributors and managers) have a clear growth path that includes an understanding of competency based growth. We also launched a mentorship program in 2020 to program and promote professional development. Your pros section highlighted some of our favorite things about Tastemade. Pay equity and being an example for what an inclusive and equitable environment means is a priority to us. We are proud of the work we have done as a people team and through our various diversity initiatives. Again, we thank you for your feedback and praise as this continues to help us grow and improve our organization.
