Pros

You start at $15 an hour and that is about where the pros end.

Cons

Insanely understaffed, I would often get called lazy because I could not possibly handle the work of 6 people along with helping guests. The stockroom is so disorganized it's dangerous, I would have to squeeze between piles of boxes that could have fallen on me at any moment. My "training" was following a coworker around for 2 shifts that did not teach me anything and then I was left by myself with literally no idea what I was supposed to be doing. I got in trouble one time for not having enough "product knowledge" because I was not able to answer specific questions about one of the 50 different brands we carry in tech. I was not offered any methods of improving my product knowledge and was not offered pay for the time I spent learning. I worked here for 6 months and did not feel properly trained for a single shift I worked. Especially working in tech, there are a lot of situations to handle with resellers and scammers. I was not properly trained for any of those situations and felt extremely guilty asking for help because everyone else working was too busy because we were so understaffed. Save yourself the anxiety attacks and breakdowns and do not work here.

Pros

-Decent starting pay -Many open positions -Diverse and Inclusive -Benefits are mediocre

Cons

-Work/life balance is horrific if you have a family you like to spend time with (Nature of Retail). -Management level (ETL) expected to work 50 hrs a week (Five 10 hr shifts) with the extra 10 hours of overtime "built into" the salary. -Not enough real world training -Anyone below Store Director gets awful merit/annual raises -Micromanagement -Specifically for AP, your job is on the line every day because of the legal aspects and public relations. You'll be scapegoated immediately if anything remotely goes awry and management ensures you walk on eggshells at all times, complying with poorly worded and subjectively interpreted directives to follow.

Pros

1. Good for development work - working on latest stuff, new projects, fresh code developments. 2. Flexibility in terms of work schedule, timings, empowerment of employees. 3. TM's are empowered to contribute to designs etc 4, Great for women.

Cons

1. Growth is super tough. Promotion needs luck - you need to be in a team where such an opportunity is available, perform beyond limits, do enough work outside projects - be it hackathon etc to create some sensational visibility powered by good contacts. Only then a promotion works. 2. Regular good work in day to day life will always fall short for a promotion. 3. Good growth for lateral hires but super tough for exiting members to go through. 4. Much appeasement for women TM's who get longer rope and support for a growth. Lots of programs for women and much easier to move up if one is even a little ok resource,
