Pros

Hours are flexible as long as you extend your needs at the initial of interview. If you like working with people and believe great customer service is your thing then any retail or customer service oriented place is as it is even at Target. Target does concentrate on great service to customers. I do appreciate that about Target and as a custmer I too like to shop at Target. Target seems to be every where in Northern Virginia so very convinient to work and to shop.

Pros

Great benefit's such as health insurance and time off, great 401k and pension package, very good salary and options for overtimes. Schedule makes going to school possible while working full time.

Cons

No advancement possibility without a degree. Feels like you need to play politics with group leaders to get in good favor. Not a job I would ever wish anyone to do as a career, feels like your being pushed out after a couple years.....

Pros

Good pay, and decent benefits. You also get a discount in the store. The employees at the store are generally very nice and understanding. There is decent management at store level but this can vary from store to store. I saw store managers that worked insane, 14 and 15 hour days, but I was not affected by this very much. Target has a very efficient distribution strategy.

Cons

It has typical retail hours, and it sucks during the holidays. Sometimes management can be high pressure. Some of the customers are not considerate of the employees and will make a very big mess of the store. Wearing red and khaki can also get very old.
