Pros

Fast Fun and Friendly will break up your daily activies once in a while

Cons

Burocratic and top heavy. There were always 4 other people tasked with the same goal as you and you may never know it. The trick was to know what answer management was looking for and go thorugh the motions of subjectivly evaluating a problem. Group Think was prevalent. More effort is extended in making each other look good than solving problems. The only acceptable solutions to problems were free or to push the issue into someone elses budget. Decision making was slowly being outsourced.

Pros

Fast, Fun & Friendly! Career advancement for team members that are continous learners and self motivated and driven. Innovative company that has a strategic vision for today and the future. High caliber of talent at all levels - great people to work with. Team orientated Company that has a pay for performance philosophy. The marketing stragety is ultra creative and relevant to the guest. As a guest, I appreciate the own brand lines at Target and truly feel that every time I enter a store - I can expect more and pay less. I heart Target!

Cons

at times it can be too political...but isn't that the case with all Fortune 30 companies.

Pros

None, really. Just a job to get you through college, etc. As a GSTL, I walkaround all day managing the cashiers, managing the guest service area, coordinating the cart attendants, dealing with guests that have concerns or questions or comments about the Target store in general. Usually it's hard work, thankless work, and the only reason i don't feel more sorry for myself is because of the cashiers, guest service attendants, and cart attendants that i manage and train. I know they get paid even less than me (13 bucks an hour)

Cons

Work hours get changed every week, you'll get written up for any tiny little thing, anti-union zealots, office politics, not enough pay
