Pros

First look at the clearance merchandise.

Cons

They will work your ass off. I worked as a Sales Floor Team Lead and out of 7 of us, 5 of us had foot problems. 3 of which needed surgery. Also, despite of how much retail experience someone may have you will never be promoted higher that a Team Lead unless you have a bachelors degree, and if you have one and get hired as a Team Lead, you have to be in that position for 2 years before they will consider promotions and if you get one, be prepared to go to another store to work.

Pros

Target has many different positions for almost anyone to work in. Everything from cashiers, sales and special teams. The competence level of the employees is generally good too. No matter what anyone says this is a job in which you must be able to rhink on your feet. Also computer skills are a very large part of the jobs available at target. It's a fast paced workplace and almost everyone trhere has to be able to step into whatever job is needed. Cashier training and a bunch of tests must be passed even to just work on the sales floor. If you do your job ok management preet much will leave you alone.

Cons

Not enough pay for a multi-skilled job, Benifits are pretty bad too. The probation period is 6 months not 90 days like many other places. Raises are few and far between. Overall a very tight company with salary and benefits.
