      Pros

      Tableau was truly a special place. Wonderful people on a mission to help people see and understand data. It felt like everyone was trying to move in the same direction to achieve a common goal. I really enjoyed coming in to work and my teammates.

      Cons

      The Salesforce acquisition led to a gradual decline. While at first we were hopeful that there was an opportunity to both learn from SF and have SF learn from Tableau, it became very clear that SF leadership had limited desire to incorporate strengths from Tableau. At the same time, the ability to make decisions and / or make any progress gradually disappeared. As a result, many of Tableau best employees left.

      Pros

      Still a great product at a premium price. Rabid customer base. Very industry focused. Mostly great people to work with.

      Cons

      The Salesforce acquisition has really deteriorated the culture of Tableau. Most of management is trying so hard to align themselves with the Salesforce management they have forgotten what made Tableau great. The commissions team gave as little visibility or sales support as possible. They ended up playing a trick to not pay my full exiting commission. The best sales people are so frustrated they are all leaving.

      Pros

      Great products. Stocked up food in pantry, great month end food, you will never feel hungry here

      Cons

      BEWARE of the Senior management - Someone here always think he is the king of the company and very hard to work with and please. Very sarcastic. His leadership team also cant make it.. always focus on the wrong initiatives instead of growing or finding ways to motivate the employees. People here dun feel belong to any group as you will feel like an outsider if you join from external. My advice is NOT TO JOIN THIS COMPANY as long as the existing leadership team is still around.
