Don't bother wasting your time here. They claim ethics but are anything but.
Pros
They have excellent benefits. They pay okay if you are educated and the facility is clean.
Cons
I worked at TE for just under a year in the executive office side of the company. I left the company because of them claiming to be one of the most ethical companies in America. What a joke this statement is. They hired me under the guise that I was going to be their so called digital factory technician. The only problem with this theory is that they had me doing IT work once inside and working for them. There was never an opportunity for me to advance or go anywhere within the company especially for Tullahoma TN I found out later that they weren't allowed to hire an IT person due to them outsourcing the IT people to India and giving the work to them instead of Americans. (Ethical?) This was why on the inside of the company the employees would call it the helpless desk. The helpdesk knew NOTHING about the IT world. My background was and still is in IT for almost 30 years now. I found myself questioning why they would hire me and then ask me to upgrade ALL of the PC's on the injection molding units from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I did this in record time as I was well familiar with the process due to my background. I streamlined the entire process and the company used my image I created as their master image for multiple other facilities. The 2 guys in Greensboro who did do IT work for them were frustrated as well because the company as a whole would demand long hours for them and would refuse repeatedly to get them the proper help they so desperately needed. These 2 guys in Greensboro were really good IT professionals that knew what they were doing. (one of the very few competent IT people within the company I knew who could turn to for the proper help) They were always slammed busy and most times impossible to reach. This was what my title said in the offer letter - MANUFACTURING TECHNICIAN V. But this was the job position I applied for: IT Specialist - Factory/Manufacturing. 2 very different positions. I could see the choice to hire me was to use me under another title and once they had all of their IT based work completed they would find a reason to get rid of me. I figured this out when I approached the plant manager and asked him if I could get a raise as I was right at a year of being employed with no review after 90 days as is accustom in these types of roles. I was almost complete with my college and obtaining my bachelor's degree in IT. I was told there was no chance I could get a raise after almost a year of being there. I was disappointed with this answer and struggled to understand why. I then looked into it further and saw the light of what was really going on at the surface. I became angered by how I was being used. Then I became even more angered because they claim to be this most ethical company but we're doing this? Needless to say, I didn't give them any notice as I felt betrayed and used. I made the master image for every single computer on the injection molding line and streamlined their process to move all computers on the line from Windows 7 to 10 and no one cared because I wasn't supposed to be there in this capacity anyways. They would not recognize any of my certifications in IT ever in my career field and never would. I had some of the big ones needed to accelerate my career and earn a much higher pay rate than TE could or would ever pay me. The only thing they cared about was the bachelor's degree but mine was in an area they could not acknowledge because I was not supposed to be there in the real capacity I was there for anyways. So again, anyone who thinks or believes the nonsense they spew about them being this ethical company, think again, because they are anything but in my case. I now have a job working as a IT Engineer for the US military making almost triple what I was at TE so it isn't any loss to me just a waste of almost a year of my time. It could have been worse for me if I had stayed. I am not posting this because I am bitter towards them as it has now been 7 months since I left at my own choice. I am leaving this review because I want others who are thinking of working for this company know some of the slimy things that they do to get what they need done. Don't be fooled or get used by them. I sure didn't stick around and happy I didn't. If you have an education and you get hired in a position that isn't what you do, question very long and hard why. Then look at the reason why before you agree to waste your time and getting used like I almost had done to me
