      Pros

      Great people to work with, dedicated and friendly. Supervisors are fair.

      Cons

      Expectations of senior management are unrealistic. Salaries are low, health benefits expensive and poor. Company needs more employees.

      Pros

      The employee benefits are decent and communication within Tyco is excellent. Opportunities for career growth and advancement are supported by management if the employee takes initiative. Overall, the people and the work environment is friendly.

      Cons

      Sometimes business politics can get in the way of productivity. The can be intimating to new employees and a turn off. Salary increases are not all that great.

      Pros

      Safety strongly emphasized in manufacturing sites. Paychecks, although paid in arrears, don't bounce. 401K has match.

      Cons

      Big company inertia with small company security. Salaries are mediocre and recruiting is done at 2nd-tier universities since they have nothing to attract top talent. Upper management is classic "old-boy" network with almost all recent top hires being ex-Motorola people. If you're a manufacturing engineer who likes a challenge, this is the place for you. If you're creative and like to think "outside the box", look elsewhere. Oh, the stock plan is a joke and options/stock grants are reserved for upper management only.
