      Focused too much internally not on the customer

      Pros

      Solid engineering group, above average productivity tools, reports so forth. High caliber of individuals. Pay / Benefits are fair but no better than others in the same industry

      Cons

      Lacking long term vision, would rather make a buck today. Many mid level managers lack management experience nor do they know how to manage. Too many old fashioned tactics such as 'put on probabtion' , "fire somebody to get the teams attention..."

      Pros

      Liked my manager but he had little influance in the bigger picture.

      Cons

      Increases are given very sparingly to the "little people" but there was always super big stock option pay outs to management and board memebers. Performance bouns' promoted during hiring process never materialized. Was passed over for a promotion by the "buddy" system.

      Pros

      Industry leading company with a global foot-print. When economy is good, the company generates a lot of cash. One strength is the companies agility due to decentralization. Break out managers can accomplish a lot. However, management plays the blame game and this culture has over burdened the organization with a level of management that does not make decisions out of fear.

      Cons

      Very political environment. Very decentralized decision-making process affords confusion, waste and high levels of employee frustration. Management expresses concerns about employee engagement but takes little or no action.
