Pros

It pays the bills but that's all you can afford with what you make. Some coworkers

Cons

Management / TD Culture / Pay Mangers have no idea how to do anything, so it is the blind leading the blind. Constant coaching from Managers on errors without them even checking facts - frequently wrong for doing something 1 time and then wrong for not doing it, they need to make up their mind. Useless Meetings and Committees taking us away from our actual work. Poor Equipment and too many inefficient systems, poor training. Childish tattle tale environment coworkers always running to Team Managers with every minor mistake to get the other person in trouble and make them fix it, sometimes letting a 2 second fix sit for weeks if that person is on vacation. Constantly raising funds for various charities at work, I like that it is encouraged but it should be my choice at my leisure also to be constantly asked for money at work when we are already paid poorly. I don't accept telephone marketers or door to door people at my home so why should I have to at work. The yearly raises and the benefits are poor at best. The Rewards and Recognition is a joke, you have to nominate and be nominated by your peers for a certificate, your Manager has to approve it and can bump it up or down to a better or worse certificate (either way it is a piece of paper just like your children get in elementary. Actually this Rewards program causes irritation and jealousy as it is somewhat of a popularity contest, 2 people can be nominated for the exact same thing and get different rewards. PULSE meetings to discuss our Confidential test results with our Manager and figure out what our team can do to make them better. My teams worst score was how we feel about our manager, what can we do about that other than lie. The year before all our Manager said was TD won't do this or that to every suggestion we made so we think it is just another ridiculous waste of time. Employee Appreciation days where they give you junk all week, this year a yoyo and a plastic brush we assumed is for the keyboard, I can't even remember the other stuff and lunch one day they might as well just give the lunch. The Road Show to boost the Big Shots in the companies ego's They tell us how much fun we are having while playing a video of people none of us have seen before and of all of the changes that have nothing to do with our departments and when it comes to questions and answers they only call upon preselected employees who have been given questions all other employees are ignored. Constantly being treated like some type of idiot, no respect. Force you to do things like coaching, violating your right to privacy. I do not feel or wish to discuss my career goals etc. with anyone unless I choose. There are so many other negatives but it would become a book. TD is a great place to work If you miss JR/SR High School

Pros

Good company paid pension plan and great group benefits plan; especially the health-care spending account.

Cons

The sales dept needs to improve on work equality and fairness. The team manager has his select group of favorite employees; who communicate with each other in a non professional way. The manager assigns special tasks to his favorite employees to make them look good, while neglecting the rest of the team (many of whom work hard yet get little recognition as they are not part of this "select favorite group"). This has caused resentment and division among the team. Overall employee moral is low; as many seek to find new job opportunities elsewhere. Senior management seems to let this happen or perhaps too incompetent to notice. Attendance is a big issue as there are unlimited amount of paid sick days and a lot of employees take advantage of it. This makes it harder for those employees who come to work constantly, as they need to work harder to make-up for those employees who don't show-up.

Pros

Great starting pay. Got the job through an employment agency starting pay at $17.19. Even when you are part time you will usually get 40hrs. competitive environment great team atmosphere management is there to try and help you succeed you will never have a day that was like the one before, always changing You will be noticed for the work that you do If you work smart and join committee's it will give you more recognition. The more you are know and the brand you build within the organization will progress you to your next levels. If you like dressing classy in suits and ties then you my fine gentleman/lady will fit right in Talking on the phone and helping customers is rewarding

Cons

Long days dealing with customers can be utterly depressing and enraging. Sitting in one place for seven and a half hours (plus 1hour 30mins @ work but on break elsewhere) is ergonomically unnatural The management staff are for the most part decent but can be unrealistic and irrational. If you do not preform you will be let go.
