Pros

Socializing atmosphere, food events, promotion always encouraged. Great for volunteering and doing good for community. Opportunity is always around the corner. Networking simply means get too friendly with manager and butter and jam your way in.

Cons

Coroporate preference hands down based on favoritism! They give chance for emplyees to move forward however only ones they want!

Pros

My immediate team is awesome, high work ethic, extremely intelligent, would work everyday until night to deliver results

Cons

Personalities and departments vary greatly. If you happen to work with toxic people and departments, it's very draining but the company doesn't hold them accountable. Bullying or bulldozing their way through is rampant with no repurcussions for the people who behave that way. While my immediate team is awesome, I am part of shared services supporting multiple lines of businesses. My negative experience comes exclusively from people hired who were with Chase previously that have no real leadership, planning, or vision and the only strength they employ is bullying and bulldozing their way through flawed assumptions. TD, you have so much gold in the original talent pool from within + those hired from other banks. But you keep putting people from Chase in leadership positions they have no business being in. This is producing such a dramatic and toxic working environment, you make me want to quit because my health and talent is not worth these people. I don't mean to generalize and I'm sure there's great people you hired from Chase, but 3/5 they're terrible. They're being difficult just to be difficult is impeding work and progress.

Pros

The workplace and in-house people you work with are great. Free lunch every Wednesday and free breakfast every Thursday. Opportunity to buy into an employee ownership plan where TD matches a certain percentage of your contributions. Full-time people understand the many problems of the company and tirelessly try to address and fix them. Flexible hours, no one will say anything if you get your work done early and want to head out. Unlimited sick days.

Cons

About 60% of the people you work with are sub-par contractors. TD prioritizes spending their money on overpriced, unqualified contractors instead of its own engineers. TD would rather spend an ungodly amount on contractors that cannot even figure out how to write a simple array sort instead of providing proper development hardware for its in-house developers. The contractors hired to design, develop and lead the creation of an AngularJS application do not even posses basic knowledge of JavaScript, and this shows in the quality of the code base. They do not care about the quality of the product, only about meeting a deadline. Projects are left in shambles and it is up to the unappreciated full-time developer to pick up the many pieces. TD match to the employee ownership contributions take 2 years to vest. Sometimes branch managers come into the developers office and play horseshoes while everyone is trying to get work done. Difficult to advance your career. They pay low comparatively.
