Pros

Very accommodating for disabilities, great atmosphere, starting wage is fair. Adequate training is given for each role, and there is plenty of room to move around in the company.

Cons

High sales environment. Sales are the focus more than customer service most of the time, which can lead to poor service for the customer, and frustrated representatives. Good customer service agents are also let go because they can't meet sales goals.

Pros

Most of the people you work with are in the same boat, there is a lot of commonality, however, the con is that everyone is either miserable or high on coolaid. The work hours are good.

Cons

TD just got rid of their IT Dept. now, if you need any help with a printer, a T/P IT from another company will show up 2-3 days later to fix the problem, for example, a printer issue. TD also recently laid off a lot of people. The employees are over loaded with case loads, the employees are expected to work overtime even though they wont admit it. We have a "CORE" team who reviews the file and nit picks at everything, they question your rationale and decision making and mark you on it and your performance evaluation is also based on the "CORE" scores. You are basically stuck with whatever mark you are given because there is no way you can appeal it even if you know they are wrong. Also, the files go missing quite a bit. Very hard to obtain a complete copy of a claim file without having to send multiple emails and requests. When a file is closed and scanned, if you ever need the file, you will be lucky to get a quarter of the file. Also, in some cases, you don't know if a person you are sending an email to is still working or on STD. No one is happy, except the few who are trying to climb the invisible ladder - non existent ladder.. Management has no clue or if they do, they are probably demoralized as well. It seems like no one cares anymore, TD has also taken so many things away, like the kids Christmas party, the employee Christmas party, now TD will only contribute 20.00 per employee for Christmas, leaving the employee to fund raise the difference if they want a half decent Christmas dinner. We have meaningless meetings. The equipment is always breaking down, you are micro managed, every day you have to submit what you did that day on a POM form which is a joke. The pay is not up to industry par anymore, it used to be, but its lost its luster a few years ago, TD has recently stopped funding tissue paper for the meeting rooms (more cut backs). now you have to bring in your own tissue . There are very little incentives, the rewards and recognition program is a complete sham and its nothing but a popularity contest. the people who work very hard have very little recognition. it seems that if you don't do your own work but help out others (like managers) , you are somehow recognized. Total sham on the recognition. There are soo many policies and procedures in place. It seems like you are always having to look over your shoulder and question every decision you make. Also, its a struggle to do your job without having to make sure you checked off every box. simple tasks are now cumbersome. TD recently created all these micro departments which is making it even more confusing now... Right now, its not a great place to be. You will be stuck in whatever position you apply for and you will feel robbed when it comes to promotions or job advances (which are very few and far in between).
